Title/Designation: SOC Analyst – L1

Skills Required:

  • At least 1-2 years of working in the SOC 
  • Proficient in Incident Management and Response, handling escalations 
  • In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management etc. 
  • Responsible for working in a 24×7 Security Operation centre (SOC) environment. 
  • Provide analysis and trending of security log data from a large number of heterogeneous security devices 
  • Provide threat and vulnerability analysis as well as security advisory services 
  • Analyse and respond to previously undisclosed software and hardware vulnerabilities 
  • Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends 
  • Guide and share information with other analysts and other teams; 
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned 
  • Knowledge of various operating system flavours including but not limited to Windows, 
  • Linux, Unix 
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications; 
  • Knowledge of common Internet protocols and applications 
  • Communicate effectively by contributing significantly to the development and delivery of a variety of written and visual documents for diverse audiences

    Product Knowledge and Presentation:

    • Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s cybersecurity products and services.
    • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, including brochures, case studies, and white papers.

    Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, providing insights into sales performance and market trends.
    • Utilize CRM tools to manage and track sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline.
    • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years and above of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the cybersecurity
      industry.
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity solutions and market dynamics.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

As an Incident Response Analyst, you will play a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and resolving security threats to protect our organization’s assets and data.

      Key Responsibilities:

        • Monitor and analyze security alerts from various sources, including SIEMs, IDS/IPS, and other security tools.
        • Respond to security incidents, perform initial investigations, and triage alerts based on severity and impact.
        • Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing disruption to business operations.
        • Conduct in-depth analysis of security incidents to identify the root cause, impact, and scope.
        • Develop and implement containment, eradication, and recovery strategies.
        • Collaborate with other teams to apply necessary patches, updates, or changes to prevent recurrence.
        • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all incident response activities, including timelines, actions taken, and outcomes.
        • Prepare and present incident reports and post-incident reviews to stakeholders and management.
        • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
        • Identify and recommend improvements to incident response processes, tools, and procedures.
        • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to enhance the organization’s security posture.
        • Conduct training and awareness sessions for staff on security best practices and incident response procedures.
        • Work closely with internal teams, including IT, network security, and legal, to ensure a coordinated response to incidents.
        • Act as a liaison with external partners, including law enforcement and vendors, as needed during major incidents.

      Qualifications:

      • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
      • Experience: 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or incident response roles.
      • Technical Skills:
        • Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection).
        • Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and security frameworks.
